Dear Friends-
It is hard to believe that Cole has already been home for almost 2 weeks! Time sure does fly!
Cole had a follow up appointment with the neurosurgeon last Friday. We are so excited to report that his head ultrasound was stable, his head circumference is growing at an acceptable rate and his soft spot is still soft! Dr. Whitehead was really pleased with the results. We have another appointment in 5 weeks. Our prayers are being heard by the great Healer. Dr. Whitehead told us that only 15% of patients in their clinic that get a reservoir do not get a shunt. I told him that we have been praying so hard that Cole would be in that 15%.
Cole weighed 7 lbs 1 oz last Monday at the pediatrician. We are anxious to know his new weight at our next pedi appt on Monday.
Cy and I are enjoying every minute with our precious boy--even the sleepless nights! Cole loves being outside in this beautiful weather and we have been going on walks every day to get out of the house. Since he was born so prematurely, we will be on house arrest for the next 2 months. We are so anxious to introduce each of our prayer warrior to the little guy, but know we need to follow the doctor's orders.
We have been so overwhelmed by the thoughtfulness and generosity of family and friends during this time. Thank you for reaching out to us and reaching up in prayer.
