    Hi Friends-
Happy summer!  We hope each of you are doing well and adjusting to this hot weather!
Cole loves to swim, so we spend lots of time in the pool.  He splashes and kicks and doesn't mind water in his face.  We are so glad he is comfortable in the water.
Our therapy schedule is still in full force--too bad we don't get a break for summer. :(  We have seen so much progress in the past few weeks.
Cole is starting to imitate and babble all the time.  He has said a few "words"--bird, dog, mama, papa, ba-by, pu-ppy.  I am sure you can imagine how proud Cy is!! :) He points to the pheasant in our den as soon as we round the corner and says "bird". Next he points to the french doors and says "dog". He comprehends very well and is proud to show off his tongue, hair, ear and feet.  He gives kisses, hugs and pats and waves hello and bye-bye.
Cole is a pro at sitting and is now working on transitions--from sitting to laying down, standing to bending over and vice versa.  He can pivot on his stomach and is working on army crawling.  He can roll and army crawl across the room.  He does get easily frustrated, but will work to get where he is going.
He is still long and lean, but is finally wearing 12 month clothes!!
I hope he will make the growth chart when we go for his 18 month checkup at the end of July.
We are having lots of fun every day and are so thankful for our precious boy.  We are so impressed and excited by his progress.  We know that Cole has to work very hard for each new skill, but he is learning that hard work and determination do pay off.
Thank you for keeping up with us.
Be sure to check out the new pictures on pages 4 and 5.

    Love,
    Ali
