Hi Friends and Family,
It has been another good week for Cole.
The big news this week is that he was moved to a crib! We were so excited when we went to visit yesterday and he had moved from his isolette to a crib. He has done a good job of maintaing his body temp so far.
He now weighs 4 lbs 6 oz. His feeds have been increased to 40 ccs every 3 hours. Just for reference, there are 30 ccs in 1 ounce. His feeds are adjusted each time he gains weight.
We are still working on 2 bottles each day. His suck, swallow and breathe coordination is getting stronger with practice.
He also loves to suck on his pacifier.
Cole will have his eyes tested again on Wednesday. We are praying that his eyes have continued to develop and mature since the last exam 2 weeks ago. Assuming everything looks healthy, he will not have another eye exam for 6-9 months!
Please continue to pray that the Lord would work a miracle in his brain. We are still believing that his body can start absorbing the spinal fluid on its own.
Thank you for keeping up with us during this time. Your prayers mean so much and are working!
"As for me, I will call upon God, and the Lord shall save me. Evening and morning and at noon I will pray, and cry aloud, and He shall hear my voice." Psalm 55:16-17
Don't miss the new pictures.
Love,
Ali and Cy
