March 9, 2009

MONDAY, MARCH 9, 2009 5:18 AM, CDT
Good Morning,
Cole turned 6 weeks old yesterday.
He had another good week full of leaps and bounds!

Cole does really well with his bottles and now gets 2 each day. His suck, swallow and breathe coordination is developing a little more each day.

He had his eye exam last Wednesday. The exam showed that the blood vessels in his eyes are now in zone 3 and have matured since the last evaluation. He will have another exam in 2 weeks. Cole is now at very low risk for ROP (a disease in the eye that is common in preemies).

He now weighs 4 lbs and 3 oz and is 17 inches long! It is amazing to watch him grow. He is about to outgrow his preemie clothes, as most preemie clothes are for 3-5 pound babies. This will be another great milestone.

We see the Lord working everyday in Cole's little body. We know that His healing hand is wrapped around precious Cole. We feel blessed by all your prayers.

"I will heal them and reveal to them the abundance of peace and truth." Jeremiah 33:6

Don't miss the new photos!

Love,
Ali and Cy
