Hi Friends and Family-

Cole is off to a great start this week! He tried his first bottle yesterday! He was able to take 4ccs. It was so sweet to watch his little cheeks working so hard to suck. We will try one bottle each day. He was 34 weeks yesterday, so his suck, swallow and breathe coordination is just starting to develop.

He weighs 3 lbs. 12 oz and is able to wear preemie clothes now! I have had the best time dressing him each day. He is regulating his body temperature and we are hoping it won't be long before he is moved from his isolette to a crib.

Please continue to pray that Cole's body will start absorbing the spinal fluid on its own. His reservoir has been successful to relieve the pressure and fluid, but we know that God can work a miracle and heal his body.

Please also pray that his eyes would continue to develop correctly. He had his first eye exam last Wednesday and everything looked normal. He will have weekly eye exams until he comes home.
